美国新保政治·文化杂志《Public Interest》停刊

该杂志内容主要为政治与文化事务。1965年由美国新保守主义的教父Irving Kristol同著名社会学家Daniel Bell一同创办，历经四十年，随着读者数目不断下降，终于走到了尽头，2005年春出版了最后一期终刊。呵呵。不过新保们还有外交事务杂志《National Interest》, 也还可以看《National Review》和《The Wasthington Times》等等，呵呵。

下面转两篇文章，由Irving Kristol和Nathan Glazer写的回忆和总结文章。两位是该杂志的编辑，亦是新保知识分子代表人物。两篇文章中，一个在吹嘘该杂志是如何“逾越”政治意识形态界限的，甚至是没有任何政治“气质”和“倾向”的，另一个则大谈使世界变得更好的意识形态和价值，并

吹嘘说杂志如何在建刊一开始就是很“新保守主义”的。

tintin is an incredibly mysterious figure. he is so
designed that he has almost little or no distinctive character.
his idneity and propensity to behave is ambiguous, blurred
and also contradictory in different episodes.

his face is so unremarkable: his eyes are effectively two dots;
little nose and litle mouth; nothing else. the only eccenric part
is his hair, and that is all.

we dont know his age; how old is the guy?
we dont know he’s sexual proclivity and/or orientation, of course,
he has experienced nothing we can call “sensual and sexual”
at least in the episodes; no romantic encounter, of course.
he has never even shown interest to a laday or girl.

p2p experience: post-napster and post-ag

post-Napster and Post-AG

at first there is an Napster-era; the era after
Napster is widely called post-napster; for me the post-napster
era has essentially been an AudioGalaxy era;
at the time AG dominated the business of P2P - it was so
overwhelming and formidable that no credible alternative
was at sight at the time. after Audiogalaxy was shut down
we actually entered a new historical epoch, a post-AG
era. this new era, has been an epoch of “warring states”
whichin no single p2p software can possibly dominate.

p2p expereince - napster to AG

i have been using p2p softwares to download music for many years;
they become the main source of my contemporary music, and most
of the music stock are stored as mp3 format
since i was introduced to p2p software i gradually ceased to buy
CDs, at the time primarily pirates and dakous (´ò¿Ú); but i keep buying
Õý°æ CDs of classical music for rarely has any p2p software provide
a good source for classical, and mp3 format is not suffficient for a
clasical fans. so i mainly use p2p software to collect contemporary
music
