(The Great North Fort at Taku, at the mouth of the Pei-ho, August 21, 1860. After the surrender, the interior of the fort was strewn with Chinese dead. French sealing ladders are still in place. A Chinese crossbow lies atop a parapet.)
Felice A. Beato 1860年8月21日， 法军攻入后的大沽北岸炮台，清兵尸体遍地。可以看到法军的攻城云梯仍在原处；扶台上有个清军的连弩。
